Meet our Executive Chef & Owner Louis Pauole!
Chef Louis Pauole grew up with a tremendous passion for cooking and feeding the locals of Hawaii. He took this passion, left Hilo and went to Culinary school in Maryland which led to him touring the Mediterranean for 4 years. He then decided to come back to his hometown where he started with Miyo’s Restaurant in 1997. Chef Louis then quickly grew with the restaurant becoming their Executive Chef for the last 25 years. To keep up with the growth of Miyo’s Restaurant, Owner, Miyo & Chef Louis became partners and moved to their new location in the new Manono Marketplace! Their mission is to ensure that the recipes they created 25 years ago stays exactly the same to prolong the Miyo’s Legacy. They developed a homestyle Japanese menu that would leave the guest feeling satisfied, content & wanting to come back for more! In 2018, Chef Louis became full owner of Miyo’s Restaurant. His mission is still the same. We continue to provide the same portions with the best quality possible. Still standing behind the concept menu, him and Miyo first created!
